Daniel Slowik is an interior decorator and antiques dealer with an international roster of residential projects. Working in the tradition of English Couture, a design thread that runs from William Kent in the 18th century to John Fowler in the 20th century. He is currently working on properties in London, Rome, New York and rural Denmark. After studying history of art, he began his career in the British Picture Department at Sotheby’s, later working for The Royal Collection at Kensington Palace, before joining long established English decorating firm, Colefax & Fowler in 1997. Having established his eponymous design studio in 2021, he has developed a reputation for comfortable, antique filled rooms that meld the English country house aesthetic with the comfort of modernity.
NUTHALL TEMPLE
Launching with a collection of Trellis fabrics in 2024 Nuthall Temple is the new joint creative venture established by Daniel Slowik with his partner Benedict Foley.
Named for the one-time Nottinghamshire home of Daniel’s grandfather, Nuthall Temple represents the ideas of beauty and usefulness - an aesthetic that is equally romantic and rational - that continues to inspire and inform the design work of the pair today.
